Academican at the Faculties of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences at Bahçeşehir Cyprus University, Dr. Burak Erkut lectured the PhD students in India on quantitative research in entrepreneurship; attending the event, sponsored by INET YSI from New York, as a guest speaker. The lecture took place in GGS Indraprastha University in New Delhi, the capital of India. More than 50 PhD students on administration, economics and psychology from various universities in India participated the workshop on “Alternative Paradigms in Economics: Combat Against Inequality and Promoting Social Change”. On his lecture, Dr. Erkut highlighted the importance of quantitive research methods in entrepreneurship researches. Explaining that the characteristics of entrepreneurship activities are dynamic, compound, and indefinite, by providing global examples and theories; he pointed out that quantitative research methods are pretty suitable for evaluating entrepreneurial activities in a scientific framework. Later in the workshop, the PhD students got information from Dr. Erkut about their own thesis studies. Dr. Erkut also stated that the enterpreneurship activities were the transforming and leading power for economy, not only in India but all over the world, and the quantitative research methods that will be used in the future scientific studies in this field will also shape the enterpreneurship policies.
