The main purpose of the Master’s programs in Architecture is to gain professional working skills in a successful and productive manner, equipped with universal values and contemporary knowledge, developed research and analytical thinking skills, developed interdisciplinary working and research skills, ethical values in professional working life. The program offers to gain the knowledge and skills to conduct scientific research and work in all of the basic fields of architecture for those who graduate from and architecture and relate department. With world-class education, our Master’s graduates will have the competence to take part in scientific research and development projects, both national and international. In addition, in line with the researcher’s tendencies, they are prepared for their acceptance to doctoral programs at universities for their qualified scientific studies.
Architecture graduate program consists of 120 ECTS in total. In the first year of the two-year education program, students who improve themselves by doing scientific research in the courses. In the second year, they do research for the thesis by choosing topics in the fields they are interested in. The student who completes the thesis is entitled to become an expert in the field of interest. It is of great importance for the student to assume the leadership role in the problems related to the research area, to evaluate their own knowledge and skills with a critical point of view, and to direct the learning process in line with their interests. For this reason, the student can determine the thesis topic in any field related to architecture. Some areas to choose from are;

Course evaluation consist of, midterm exam, Research homework/presentations and final exam at the end of the semester. Depending on course structure every beginning of each semester necessary course evaluation skills announced by the tutor with course syllabus. In order to encourage students to produce science, they are supported by topics such as preparing scientific articles and making presentations depending on the subject of the course.
In order to graduate from the Master of Architecture, it is required to complete the 120 ECTS courses and thesis in the curriculum. Student who is successful in a total of 7 courses and 1 seminar course in the first year is entitled to take a thesis. At the end of the second year, the student who completes his thesis, depending on the research done under the supervision of the advisor, presents his research to the selected jury and if it is found successful according to the jury’s evaluation, he/she is eligible to graduate.
