Program Curriculum

The non-thesis Master of Business Administration (MBA) program consists of at least ten courses with a total of 30 credits and not less than 90 ECTS, and a term project course. The student has to register for the term project at the end of the second semester at the latest. Students must register for the term project course in the semester in which the term project course is taken and submit a written project and/or report at the end of the semester. The term project course is non-credit and is evaluated as successful or unsuccessful.

The duration to complete the non-thesis MBA program is at least three semesters, at most four semesters, regardless of whether or not they are registered for each semester, starting from the semester in which the courses related to the program they are enrolled in, excluding the time spent in scientific preparation. At the end of this period, the student who fails or cannot complete the program is dismissed from the higher education institution.

Program Learning Outcomes

On completion of the programme the student will be able to:

1. Developing strategies, policies and implementation plans to address the issues in the fields of business administration and management, and evaluating the consequences according to the processes of quality,

2. Broadening and deepening the knowledge about business administration at the master’s level based on the undergraduate level qualifications,

3. Comprehending the interaction across various disciplines related to the field of business administration, and evaluating the knowledge and skills gained on an interdisciplinary dimension,

4. Using theoretical and practical information and skills gained at the expertise level in the field business administration,

5. Analyzing problems requiring expertise in the field business administration by using scientific research methods,

6. Evaluating a problem in the business administration field independently, developing a way for solution, solving the problem, and evaluating the results,

7. Developing new strategic approaches to solve unforeseen complex issues in the business administration field through integrative and creative elaboration,

8. Evaluating the knowledge related to the field of business administration through critical perspective,

9. Communicating systematically the recent developments and one’s individual studies in the field of business administration to the groups within and outside the field via written, oral, and visual presentations,

10. Analyzing the social relations and the norms through critical perspective, developing effective relations, training leaders who are capable of sustaining these social relations, applying teamwork and managing risk and change in the field of business administration.

Assessment

Course assessment usually consists of a comprehensive final exam, midterm, quizzes, case analysis, projects and participation in the class.

Letter grades are calculated based on the weight of the final exam, midterm exam, quizzes, case analysis, projects, assignments etc. and the actual numerical grades achieved in these assessment components. The semester grade point average (GPA) and grade point average (CPA) of the student are calculated according to the course grades.

Graduation

The student has to complete 90 ECTS and all program requirements. A minimum cumulative grade point average (CPA) of 3.0 is required.
