In today’s globalizing world, the importance of air transportation is increasing. In parallel with this, the aviation sector continues to develop rapidly, more and more airline companies are joining the civil aviation sector, national and international flight points are increasing rapidly, and the number of qualified personnel needed by the sector is also increasing. As a result, companies in the sector need more cabin attendants equipped with passenger relations, emergency rules, first aid, communication skills and foreign language skills.
Bahçeşehir Cyprus University Civil Aviation and Cabin Services Associate Degree Program aims to train highly qualified personnel who can keep up with the aviation sector, keep flight safety at the highest level, focus on customer satisfaction, have effective communication skills, solution-oriented, and can cope with the problems they face.
Our graduates, who receive the title of “Cabin Crew Officer”, will be able to be employed in national and international airline companies in the aviation sector in line with the skills they have gained, equipped with up-to-date information provided by experienced training staff.
To graduate from Bahçeşehir Cyprus University, 93 credits of course load must be completed. Our students take the basic courses required for civil aviation and cabin services (such as introduction to civil aviation cabin services, food and services, flight fundamentals, crew resource management, customer relationship management in aviation) in two years. In addition to the compulsory courses required for this branch, our students also take elective courses.
Students who complete the program will have achieved the following outcomes:
Course assessment usually consists of a comprehensive final exam, midterms, projects, and continuous assessment.
Letter grades are calculated based on the weight of the final exam and continuous assessment and the actual numerical grades achieved in these two assessment components. The semester grade point average (GPA) and grade point average (CPA) of the student are calculated according to the course grades.
The student must complete 120 ECTS and all program requirements. A minimum cumulative grade point average (CPA) of 2.0 is required. Thus, although a ‘D-‘ is a PASS grade, an average grade of ‘C’ is required to achieve a CPA of 2.0.
