F. Research Topics

Assist. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Maşlakcı works on research topics including entrepreneurship, multiculturalism, leadership and demographic differences.

1- Entrepreneurship – Entrepreneurship of university students: Entrepreneurs, who are seen as the most important elements of economic growth, make a great and positive contribution to the economic growth and social life of their countries. Entrepreneurship is seen as a strategic tool that provides business opportunities to innovate new products and production processes, as well as other inventions, especially for young people. The rising unemployment rate on a global scale prompts administrations to take measures to support entrepreneurship among university students and increases the need for research on these issues.

2- Multiculturalism- The multiculturalism of university students: Globalization has made higher education increasingly multicultural. Although the attitudes and interactions of multicultural university students with different cultures affect their entrepreneurial intentions as well as their academic success, it reveals the importance of research that examines this issue.

3- Leadership: The concept of leadership, which is a concept as old as the history of humanity, and which emerges as a result of the necessity of people living together and their organization to be managed, has been the subject of many researches. Different approaches and styles of leadership are very important for the success of businesses and their employees. In this context, it is an important research topic to deal with the other dimensions of the subject.

4- Demographic Differences: In order to analyze organizational behaviors, it is known that demographic characteristics of employees are also effective in addition to various organizational factors. For this purpose, it is important to determine the effect of demographic characteristics on organizational outcomes.
