Nursing Brief Introduction

In the light of science and technology, the students are aiming to be trained as leaders in nursing and health care at universal standards. The main field of interest in nursing is people, family, and society. Humans have a very complex structure; their health and disease states are also complex, so they can do research and apply their results in order to know and understand humans with all their anatomical, physiological, psychological, social, and intellectual dimensions, to be good observers, and to use scientific data (evidence). We provide the skills to use them. We support them to grow up as strong nurses in education and management and turn lifelong learning into a habit and behavior. Nurses are needed in order to maintain a healthy life in every environment where people exist. For this reason, the fields of study are quite wide, and there are academic career opportunities in various branches. We welcome all our young people to our school and profession who have a humanistic and positive personality, who try to cope with difficulties without giving up, who enjoy lifelong learning and development.

Nursing Curriculum

In the practical and supportive learning environment the program provides, a team of internationally experienced lecturers and professors encourage students to explore their individual talents and build their own professional path. The first two years include courses from basic sciences. In the following years, they continue with advanced engineering courses such as manufacturing technology, production system and operations research. In addition to the above subjects, subjects such as engineering design, communication, teamwork and project work are integrated into the curriculum throughout its four years.

Letter grades are calculated based on the weight of the final exam and the continuous assessment and the actual numerical marks obtained in these two assessment components. Based on the course grades the student’s semester grade point average (GPA) and cumulative point average (CPA) are calculated.

Graduation

The student must complete 240 ECTS and all programme requirements. A minimum cumulative grade point average (CPA) of 2.0 is required for graduation. Thus, although ‘C-‘, ‘D+’ and ‘D‘ are pass grades (conditionally pass), in order to achieve a CPA of 2.0, an average grade of ‘C’ is required.
