BAU CYPRUS FACULTY OF TOURISM ORGANIZES A THEME TRIP: EXPLORING KNOWLEDGE BEYOND CLASSROOM WALLS

Bahçeşehir Cyprus University, Faculty of Tourism, Tourism & Hotel Management, and Gastronomy & Culinary Arts Departments’ students attended an unforgettable educational theme trip, ‘Exploring Knowledge Beyond Classroom Walls,’ where they had the chance to meet experts from their fields and learn from their experiences and expertise.

During the trip, students visited Concord Hotel, a five-star international hotel, and the food production line of Califorian Restaurant, a famous chain restaurant in Cyprus.

Students of the Tourism and Hotel Management program learned how the organizational management of international hotels works in action. The Concorde Hotel Quality Assurance Manager, Mr. Onur,  provided information about various hotel departments and their functions.

The Gastronomy and Culinary Arts program students received detailed information about food production and quality services while listening to Chef Saf, the Califorian Restaurant Head Chef. 

The trip was organized to emphasize the importance of retaining knowledge on-site and meeting industry experts. Such an event highlighted how learning can be efficient if direct communication between the professional world and the academy happens.

The BAU Cyprus Faculty of Tourism students expressed their gratitude to Concorde Hotel Quality Assurance Manager Mr.Onur and Califorian Restaurant Head Chef Mr. Saf and their team members for their contribution to their education.
